Although the band has been established quite recently, some of its members rank among the proven and established names in the Czech music scene.  Bitumen Beat is the direct offspring of Terne Čhave, the respected band from Hradec Králové that has won success in Czechia and abroad. Legend has it that the Bitumen tribe, whose people are the members of Bitumen Beat, gives all its musicians a generic name, Terne Čhave (young boys). The name is only borrowed until they have passed the test period in which they walk the world to gain experience. This was the case here, when Terne Čhave attained manhood, they returned the name back to the tribe.

Over the years, their music has tasted the dirt and glamor of rock clubs, lowly pubs, sweet discotheques and large festivals the amalgamation of which has manifested in a raw sound and musical influences where the Romani foundations mix with pretty much anything to yield a most extatic result.
