Now manned by eight, the band was founded in 2008 by only four musicians. The higher was the number and the ages of the players, the more varied were the genres the band would “tend to”: from the early ska and reggae, across blues and swing, the band also has also grown to play music from the Balkans which they say they have always wanted. However, Frajara Putika does not believe in genre limitations: “Our point is to play music we like – and now we have learned that you enjoy it more and more, too” the band tells its fans. “We love grand stages, but we play on the small ones as well, like we never had problems appearing on stages made from pallets or on benches in parks. Our point is to play: for us, for you, for everyone. Come to the concert and see for yourselves.”
