Five excellent musicians offering a unique mix of African and Jewish music. Performing songs by Eran Kats, the band renders the lyrics in a “multicultural” way in Hebrew, English and African dialects. The debut album J’ai Live has brought the band to the interest in original Israeli music in world-music shows in a number of countries.

All the members (apart from the frontman, composer, vocalist and guitarist Eran Kats, the band includes the bassist Ilan Kenan, saxophonist Dor Assaraf, percussionist Shahar Kachka and drummer Dor Kelman) have participated in a number of projects, they are experienced performers. Furthermore, they all have a broad of music they have ever played and enjoyed. The resultant force of all the influences is the original musical model of the J’ali Ensemble.
